 My DS broke. :( I mean, it still functions perfectly well, so I don't have much of a reason to complain. But I closed it for a minute or two and set it on my lap, and when I picked it up again, it was broken. The...joint, I guess? between the top and bottom screen has two huge cracks in it. So the top screen doesn't stay up properly sometimes.

It probably happened a while ago and I just didn't notice it, but jeez. I guess Heart Gold is just too INTENSE for my DS to handle.

So because of that, I've been trying to go easy on my DS and have been playing Touhou instead.

Oh, and just so this entry isn't completely useless: have an utterly bizarre shojo(?) GX fancomic I found in the darkest corners of the internet. Dunno about you, but it made me laugh.

EDIT: Oh, right. Basic plot: Fubuki wanders around in the Blue dorms looking for this guy he's heard is an awesome duelist, said awesome duelist (Ryo) apparently heard the conversation between him and a bunch of Blue students, and is all "Why did you crossdress and sneak into the guys' dorm just to find me?". Except with more blushing and ellipses, of course. Fubuki establishes that he's actually a guy and Ryo finds Fubuki angsting in his room later and apologizes for the misunderstanding. They decide to duel to determine if Ryo was actually trying to insult him with the comment or not, or something like that because they can and Romance Ensues, I believe. Oh, and Daitokuji is a creeper. Just read it, man.

In other news, I bought Heart Gold two days ago! I'm not far enough in it to say much of anything, except that I picked the male character, named him Gold, and got him a cyndaquil because I'm a huge dork who love the manga adaption. 8/ I haven't decided whether I'm going to post team updates or anything on here or not.

Trying to get back into the habit of writing. This wasn't really supposed to go anywhere, so for once I can not feel bad about not finishing it. Yaaaay 8U

I still haven't started on that post-series GX fic. Hnnnnnngh. I have too many things I'm trying to finish already. I'm so bad about starting things before I actually know what I'm going to do with them, so they end up stopping halfway up the hill and not going anywhere. I'm trying not to let that happen with my GX fic. I'm also trying to finish Wanderlust, but I am not having much success. At all.

Blah blah art blah. It's a common misconception that drawing in class makes it harder for students to pay attention--I actually find it easier to focus when I have something to do with my hands. Constantly either my mind is wandering or I'm fidgeting, and the latter is usually preferable during class.

...holy crap on a stick, marching band season is over. It was a hell of a lot of hard work, often in bad weather, and I think I'm happy to have it over and done with. But at the same time it was a lot of fun. Admittedly I started out not liking it all that much, but the people I met are amazing and it wasn't as frustrating as I had expected, even if we didn't place well in the competitions we went to. The rest of the school year from now on is concert band, which will be fun and with the same people. (I might be joining full orchestra next semester, though, if the schedule is done SNAFUing everything.) I just hope I don't forget how to march before next year, though. hah.

Still thinking about that fic I'm going to write. I've been debating about whether I should or should not go the Spiritshipping direction. Canon seems to be constantly disagreeing with itself over whether it makes sense or not, and at the end of the day, what canon says goes. I've also been arguing with myself about it, and came up with a pretty reasonable backbone for it, but it may or may not stop working after Judai and Yubel have their little moment at the end of the season. I do love them, but the explanation of what happened between them was ridiculously rushed. So was the Supreme King arc, actually.

Sooooo. I got Scribblenauts. \o/ It's really fun, but it's kind of frustrating for me because I have great ideas but the game won't let me do them. Like in the level with the rats in the restaurant, I thought if I attached a target to a rat near the gangster he'd shoot at it, but the target doesn't attach to the rats, and even if it's attached to something else he won't shoot at it. I must be doing something wrong. OTL But I like how you can make anything appear! Grocery shopping using a treasure chest instead of a bag is fun~

/needs to start saving up for stuff so she isn't always broke when it comes out

Name a character(s) (seriously, do more than one, I need to unload my brain) from a fandom you know I'm familiar with, and I'll tell you some facts about them from my own head canon.

I SWEAR I'LL ACTUALLY DO THIS ONE. Especially because I love stuff like this. My head makes canon without my consent. I swear.

Speaking of which. I came to a realization the other day. I have a tendency to read way into characters' personalities and figure out why they do what they do and feel how they feel. Since I do this without really making anything up, I sort of considered everything I thought of canon, or at least implied by canon. After reading a million comments about how XYZ is "a flat character" or "interesting as paste" (I do like that simile), and feeling compelled to jump to every character's defense, I sort of realized that if I started spewing out my psychoanalyses on them, I wouldn't really be using canon to defend them, even if it was all implied.

Moral of the story: I think too hard.

Other moral: I really need to start writing original fiction.
